Crafting Overhaul in MO2

A number of longtime MO1 players have given the suggestion for crafting to be overhauled to be more hands-on and more player skill-driven rather than clicking on a bunch of icons, dragging sliders, and quality being determined by skill numbers.

I feel that with MO2 set to be the new groundbreaking MMORPG in 2020 (in my opinion), the time is right for crafting to be brought into the modern age. And what better way to illustrate than with the opening scene of one of the most brutal and badass low-fantasy movies ever made:
